Meanwhile, Lisa-Marie found herself in her mother's body sitting opposite of Markus. The waiter had already brought their meals, so Lisa-Marie used the chance to eat while she was listening to Markus.
“Tomorrow, we'll bring your daughter to her new school. I also booked the room for two more days, so we can have some fun together!” Markus added with a smirk, when they had finished their meal. When he took the hand of Mareike, Lisa-Marie shuddered at the idea of what Markus had in mind. Instinctively, she pulled her hand back.
“Is everything all right? Maybe we should go back to our room” Markus inquired. Together, they left the restaurant and took the elevator to their floor. While they were waiting for it, Markus was wrapping his arms around Mareike's body. Lisa-Marie felt disgusted. When the elevator doors slid open, Markus advances grew even more intense, and he tried to force a kiss on Mareike's lips. This was too much for Lisa-Marie. She forced herself out Markus' embrace. “I really wish you weren't interested in me any more!” she shouted.
Meanwhile, the elevator doors had opened and Martha, who was standing invisibly beside them, had watched the scene. “Wish granted!”she said, and blinked.
Suddenly, Markus felt different thoughts invading his mind. He became more and more confused. “I'm sorry, but this doesn't feel right to me. You are a nice woman, Mareike, and I really like you... No, that's not right. You're just not my type, sorry... Or are you?” Markus started to babble. It was just as Sami had told Martha: messing with the mind of a mortal would cause a lot of confusion. “I have to go.” Markus excused himself and rushed to the exit of the hotel.
“What did you do to him?” Lisa-Marie asked Martha.
“I couldn't stand seeing him groping you. So I implanted some interest in men into his mind right now.”
“So he's gay now?”Lisa-Marie asked.
“Let's say that the different sexual orientations are now fighting for dominance.”
“Will he end up gay?”
“I don't know!”Martha answered. “Most probably not. But however it will turn out, he won't bother you again.”
“Thank you for saving me, but I hope that won't bring you into trouble”Lisa-Marie said.
“What do you mean?”
“I read a story about a genie lord who punished genies that broke the rules” Lisa-Marie explained.
“What... What does he do to them?”Martha asked, seemingly frightened.
“He locks them inside their bottles for 100 years”Lisa-Marie said.
Now, Martha felt the panic rising. “Please excuse me, Mistress. Now I really have to get something cleared up.”
“Alright!”Lisa-Marie answered, without realizing she had just given Martha permission to leave. When Martha rushed off, Lisa-Marie said to herself: “Let's look for my mother.”
