Genie Con 2011 - Part 6

Later, at the hotel, Martha bid Sami goodbye. “I hope you had fun today. The human world isn’t as bad as you think and it can be fun.”

“True. I had a lot of fun. Not only when you or I twisted their wishes. It was a strange experience but still very funny. And I could move among the humans without any worries.” Sami replied.

“Yeah, I see your point. Back at the convention, the girl used her genie powers to change her appearance. I didn’t know that. Maybe you can change your appearance too, so we can spend more time together outside our lamps.” Martha proposed.

Sami tried to do as she proposed. His skin became more fleshy until it was a nice tan, much lighter than Amelia’s skin. “Better that way?”

“Yeah, it looks better.” Martha nodded.

“Fine. We could - how did you call it? – go out again. But I will revert to my original appearance once I return to my lamp. And I will have to change once you summon me again.” Sami explained.

“That’s fine for me. As long as it isn't too inconvenient for you.” Martha embraced Sami. She held him for a while, then she leaned forward and gave him a kiss. “I’ll see you tomorrow after my shift! Have a good night!” Sami returned to his lamp while Martha left the hotel.

Back at his place, David was getting out of his hotel uniform just as Martha arrived. “How was your day Martha?”

“It was very nice, thank you. “ Martha replied. “By the way, I’ll accept your offer.”

“Great! Let’s sort out everything. We’ll share the rent, ok?”

“No problem! My wages from the hotel go into my account but I hardly need money. If you like, I can take care of the housework as well. My powers will be very handy here.” Martha proposed.

“Err… Martha if you don’t mind, I’d rather share the chores too.” David insisted. “I don’t want to abuse your powers.“

“That’s very nice of you. Ok, we can share the chores too. Let’s sort out everything.” Martha sat down on the kitchen table, while David brought a pencil and writing pad along.


Epilogue:

That evening, Svetlana and Amelia knocked on the door of M. Berger-Allemand’s door. When the banker opened the door, he was very surprised to see two maids instead of the one expected maid. “Oh, you brought a friend, Amelia. The more the merrier. Please come in! A glass of champagne?” Both maids entered the room. Inside the room, M. Berger-Allemand passed them two glasses of champagne and bid the maids to sit on the sofa. “Wanna have some fun together?” he said and sat down right between them. Then he placed his arms around their shoulders.

“Sure! I’ll gonna have a lot of fun soon!” Svetlana jumped up produced a pink bottle from her apron. When she uncorked the bottle, purple mist streamed out of it and formed into the shape of Gregorios.

“Is that the dog that was harassing Amelia?” Gregorios asked.

“What’s going on?” asked M. Berger-Allemand, seemingly surprised.

“Silence!” Svetlana barked at him. “Yes, he is. And now he won’t be anything else. Turn him into a dog!” she commanded Gregorios.

“With pleasure!” Gregorios folded his arms and blinked.

The banker lost his shape while he sunk to all fours. For a moment, he looked like some undefined mass, but eventually, he regained a new shape – that of a German shepherd dog.

“What do you think?” Svetlana asked Amelia.

Amelia looked very surprised at the dog: “That’s … amazing. What shall we do with him now?”

“If M. Sprüngli allows it, we can keep him as a pet. If not we have to give him to the dog pound. But I’d prefer the first.” Svetlana explained.

“That would be a nice idea.” Amelia replied.

M. Berger-Allemand tried to figure out what had just happened to him. He could still understand the two women. From what they said, he understood that he was transformed into a dog. And also, that they intended to keep him as a pet. An outlook he wasn’t happy with at all. Insecure, M. Berger-Allemand pondered his future.
