Her worst nightmare - Part 5

A cloud of dust filled the room as the vacuum bag burst. Like a whirlwind, Martha rushed out of her prison. “Thank you, Stefania!” she cried and hug her friend.

“Actually, it was Tony who wished you free,” Stefania explained. Tony was hugged also, and then left behind, covered with dust. “But how could you wish me free? My magic doesn’t work inside.” Martha begged to know.

“It was my magic!” Sami interfered. “I’m Sami the genie. And you are?”

“I’m Martha, also a genie!” she introduced herself.

“Enchanted!” Sami answered and bowed before Martha. “You haven't been a genie for a very long time, right?”

“I was a human girl once, but I was sucked into my lamp several months ago. And when were you turned into a genie?”

“I was born as a genie!” Sami replied. “And I’m more than 4000 years old.”

Martha’s mouth dropped open. “Maybe you can answer for me a question: after my genification, I was trapped inside my lamp. Only when my Master summoned me, was I able to leave my lamp. But recently, I transformed my master into a genie and locked him in a bottle. In the process, my second pair of bracelets turned into dust and formed around his shackles. Since then, I can leave my lamp for 12 hours. What happened?”

“You’ve been trapped inside a doubled cursed bottle. These are very rare. By turning one of your masters into a genie, you broke one of those bonds. If you make another master into a genie, you can switch places with him and become human again. If you want to.” Sami explained.

“But I don’t want to become human again. If it wasn’t for the fact that I’m forced to grant my masters all their wishes, I’d be completely happy. Alas, being able to get out of the bottle is already a big improvement.”

“Well, if your master wishes to set you free, you would be unbound from the lamp. But this happens only in genie tales.” Sami answered. Martha and Stefania, who had fixed the vacuum in the meantime, glanced at each other and grinned.

At that moment, the door opened and Svetlana entered the room. She was holding Martha’s lamp. “Look what we’ve got here! You released that stupid genie. Well I guess I have to use my next wish to get rid of you.” Svetlana pointed her finger at Stefania. “Listen genie, I wish for this girl to be transformed into...”
